- Typically, rashes seen by an Allergist include hives or urticaria, eczema or atopic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis.
- Hives can be acute or chronic and are caused by activation of allergy cells under the skin.
- This can cause wheals and swelling that come and go across the body.
- Generally, this can be treated with antihistamines and biologics such as Xolair.
